Jewelry appraisals can be confusing because they work differently than other types of appraisals.
A home appraisal tells you what your house is worth today, but a jewelry appraisal is meant to protect you in the future.
Because gold, diamonds, and manufacturing costs can increase over time, jewelry is usually appraised higher than the price you paid. This higher value ensures your insurance company has enough coverage to replace the piece if it’s ever lost, stolen, or damaged.
An appraisal isn’t what your jewelry would sell for today—it’s simply the replacement value used for insurance purposes.

OUR APPRAISAL OPTIONS
We offer two appraisal options depending on how quickly you need your jewelry evaluated.
DROP-OFF APPRAISALS
Pricing:
$125 Per Hour
You simply drop your jewelry off at the store, and our appraiser will complete the appraisal in the order it was received. Depending on how many pieces are already in the queue, there may be several appraisals ahead of yours.
Typical turnaround time:
5–14 business days but can be longer
This option is ideal if you don’t need the appraisal immediately.
Your pieces are then put into a cloud-based database that you will have your own login access to so you can retrieve the appraisal paperwork anytime!
SAME DAY APPRAISALS
Pricing:
$195 Per Hour
PLEASE CALL TO BOOK SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS.
If you need your appraisal completed more quickly, we offer a same-day appraisal service. Most appointments allow us to complete 2–3 pieces per hour, depending on the complexity of the jewelry.
For these appointments, we ask that you drop your jewelry off at the start of your appointment and allow the appraiser a few hours to complete the work. You’re welcome to return later to pick it up or relax in our showroom while the appraisal is completed.
