Love your site. It is dynamic and informative – something a lot of jewelry sites miss. I’m writing to ask for advice. I’m currently in marketing but have wanted to pursue a career as a jeweler. How do you begin? Is it possible to start as an intern or apprentice? I have a retail background as well as experience as a craft jewelery maker (seed bead stitching etc.).
Best regards and wishes for continued success.
Hi Michelle:
There are some schools which i am sure you can find on the internet, most of the jewelers i work with are trained overseas. You might also want to consider studying Gemology and becoming a jewelry appraiser that can be done online. Look up GIA, they are the best. Good Luck, David
